What a review means here

The evidence comes before the verdict.

Guide or review

A Materials guide explains a subject: how brush fibres differ, what paper weight means, why a pigment granulates. A review applies that understanding to named products and ends with a practical conclusion.

What is stated

Every review states four things: the evidence it rests on, such as published specifications, retailer listings or first hand use; the products and retailers it covers; what that evidence cannot show; and the decision it leaves you with. Prices change, so any price is given with the date it was checked.

Background for the brush comparison

Three guides explain the shapes, sizes and fibres behind the current review.
